Peter’s lifelong, zealous passion for entrepreneurship led him to capitalize on an opportunity in 2014 which established EASE Logistics Services. Under Peter’s leadership, the company has grown rapidly and continues to expand at a dramatic pace. Peter’s extensive professional background spans the client and provider sides of logistics; he utilizes this deep subject matter expertise to provide a high level of customer service to carriers, brokerages, and shippers. Peter holds a BSBA degree in criminology and supply chain management from The Ohio State University. Peter lives in Dublin, Ohio with his wife, Elizabeth, and his sons Peter, Benjamin, and William.

DAVE SLOVINA

CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

Dave Slovina has over two decades of experience in talent acquisition and management, employee relations, and performance management, and holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Touro University. As Chief Human Resources Officer, Slovina works as a strategic business partner to align strategy with people, programs, policies, and practices, ensuring a best-in-class experience for EASE employees. Slovina favors initiatives that give employees the opportunity to grow organically, and with this mindset, has achieved employee retention rates of 95% or better in previous roles, even earning accolades from the U.S. Government during Pentagon briefs that recognized his efforts as Best Practices. Slovina is a U.S. veteran; he served 20 years in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Master Chief in 2008.

KYLE TOOMBS

CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER

Kyle Toombs, EASE’s Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), has more than a decade of industry experience, with particular expertise in cross-border logistics, customer and carrier operations, and warehousing. AS CSO, Toombs focuses on EASE’s strategic growth, including the expansion of the company’s geographic footprint and development of EASE’s customizable services and solutions. Toombs earned his B.S. in Management with a concentration in International Business and Marketing from Purdue University. He went on to achieve his MBA from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2018. In his spare time, Toombs enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and children (a son and twin daughters) and their mini golden doodle, Lindey.

KEITH WARD

COO

Keith designs and implements business plans and procedures for the company, develops opportunities for future growth, and ensures efficiencies across all departments at EASE. While attending college at Bellarmine University (where he ultimately earned a double major in business and economics), he worked for General Electric in the international supply chain department where he developed a love for logistics. Since then, Keith has accrued over fifteen years of experience in the field as an account manager for Pacer Global Logistics and a manager for the expedite and new model teams at Ceva Logistics on-site at Honda. Keith has been with EASE for more than two years.

JUSTIN YOUNG

CFO

Justin leads the accounting and finance functions of EASE to optimize the overall financial performance of the company. He assists in developing company-wide initiatives for new procedures and service offerings, oversees risk exposure to help guide decision making processes, and develops and maintains data analytics and business intelligence initiatives. A graduate of Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Justin has been with EASE for more than three years and is no stranger to Columbus Business First’s Fast 50 list. He lives in Columbus, Ohio and loves to travel and be outdoors with his wife Julia and their dog Odie.

VP OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS

Abbi comes to EASE with nearly 20 years of experience in strategy, innovation, and performance improvement. After graduating from Ohio University, Abbi worked in a broad range of industries, including automotive, financial, insurance, government, start-up, and non-profit. A native of Dublin, Ohio, she now resides at Indian Lake with her dog Poppy. Abbi is passionate about travel, family, and giving back to our community.

SCOTT MCDOWELL

VP OF CMH OPERATIONS

Scott McDowell is EASE’s Vice President of Logistics Operations. He works to drive operations forward, overseeing the growth of Carrier Operations, Customer Operations, Client Services, Support Operations, and our Global Resource teams through compliance development, education, training and performance reviews. McDowell earned his Bachelor’s degree at Bowling Green State University and spent 17 years in the restaurant industry, where he gained a mastery of the type of time-sensitive and demanding work that he now oversees at EASE in the logistics industry. McDowell lives in Delaware with his wife and two daughters, Lily and Zoe.

KONRAD WARZYCHA

VP OF SOLUTIONS

Konrad works with executive management to develop, implement, and track KPIs for all account management employees. He mentors account managers by working with them to deepen their knowledge of industry standards, including how to rate customers and grow their customer base. Regular coordination with client services, regional territory managers, and sales managers is how he helps the company maintain a high level of customer service. A first-generation immigrant from Poland and a graduate of The Ohio State University, Konrad has been with EASE for five years.

BEN BENFIELD

DIRECTOR OF CUSTOMER OPERATIONS

As the youngest of six children, Ben knows a thing or two about managing chaos. He currently leads a team of nine account managers committed to the mission, vision, and values of EASE. Ben is a mentor to his team and an expert in customer engagement. Before joining EASE, Ben was a Warehouse Supervisor at both Cardinal Health and UPS, and he was an Operations Trainer for Target stores. Ben is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a major in Fashion and Retail Studies, and a minor in Business Administration.

GREG BOXER

DIRECTOR OF CARRIER SOLUTIONS

Greg Boxer, EASE Director of Carrier Solutions, leads national, regional, and local initiatives to develop relationships with carrier partners and optimize the EASE carrier network to maximize operational efficiency. Driven by a passion for building and scaling highly effective, solutions-oriented teams, Boxer oversees carrier solutions, services, and capacity-management. Under Boxer’s direction, the Carrier Solutions teams cultivate strategic partnerships and leverages industry-leading technology to provide unparalleled customer service. Boxer earned his B.A. in Organizational Communication and Management from Miami University in 2010. Together with his wife and son, he enjoys travel, cooking, and hockey games.

HEIDI DAVIS

DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING

Heidi leads the team that handles all accounts receivable and accounts payable activity for EASE. She is tasked with growing the accounting department at EASE, which includes new and exciting adventures in philanthropy. Heidi joined the team in 2015 with more than 15 years of experience and is dedicated to helping others reach their full potential. In her spare time she enjoys exercising, developing her green thumb, and spending time with her daughter, Hannah.

NICK GAMRATH

DIRECTOR OF CLIENT SERVICES

Nick manages a team that ensures that all loads are built and scheduled accurately and efficiently. With EASE since its earliest days, Nick helped to create the client services department in order to provide round-the-clock customer service and provide visibility on all shipments. A graduate of Ohio University, Nick earned a BS in Aviation Flight and went on to obtain a private pilot’s license and teach as a certified flight instructor. He plans to maintain this hobby well into old age. Nick has been with EASE for more than five years.

LEAH KRACHT

DIRECTOR OF SUPPORT OPERATIONS

Leah Kracht is responsible for EASE’s 2nd, 3rd, and weekend operations shifts. She worked at Amazon in the distribution sector before beginning her career with EASE in May 2021 as an operations manager.

With her stand-out leadership and managerial skills, Leah quickly moved to the director-level position, overseeing some of EASE's most essential coverage times. Leah's supervision helps maintain EASE's unparalleled customer service, 24/7/365, as she oversees night and weekend operations.

Leah is a proud Ohio State alumnus. She received her bachelor’s degree in operations management from The Ohio State University and still avidly follows its football team. In her spare time, Leah enjoys traveling and spending time with family, friends, and her two dogs, Tucker and Griffin.

JOSH McMULLEN

DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS EXCELLENCE & GOVERNANCE

Josh McMullen, Director of Business Excellence and Governance, leads the EASE Training and Project Management teams, and is responsible for the documentation and governance of EASE’s processes and procedures. Utilizing his expertise in EASE’s operations and internal systems, McMullen guides efforts to implement cross-functional teams, streamline processes, and maximize efficiency. McMullen graduated from Ohio University in 2011 with a B.A. in Psychology, and earned a B.S. in Physics with a minor in mathematics from Northern Michigan University in 2019. He lives in his hometown, Dublin, with his wife, Stephanie.

TODD MONTAZZOLI

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Todd Montazzoli, Director of Marketing, develops and implements communications and marketing strategies that drive EASE forward. An expert in brand building, strategic planning, and innovation he has a long tenure of marketing experience and leading teams with world-class food and beverage manufacturers.

Montazzoli earned a B.S. in Marketing and Business Administration from the State University of New York at Fredonia and a Master of Business Administration (Management & Marketing) from St. Bonaventure University. He and his wife, Liz, are parents to four children and a German Shorthaired Pointer named Remi.

MIKE RILL

DIRECTOR OF WAREHOUSE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Mike Rill has worked within the logistics industry in supply chain management and logistics operations for nearly 20 years. As Director of Integrated Solutions, he commands a rapidly developing department that works closely with Business Solutions, Carrier Solutions, and asset division EASE Expedited to create world-class solutions for our customers. Before coming to EASE in 2021, Mike spent seven years with Rogue Fitness and over eight years in the Honda supply chain, working with CEVA Logistics and as a Government Contractor for the Defense Logistics Agency. Mike received his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He’s passionate about overall health and wellness and has completed five marathons.

ERICA SEYMOUR

DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY

Erica Seymour, Director of Technology, leads the EASE Enterprise and Logistics Technology divisions, responsible for Operations and Support, Engineering, and Analytics and Automation Teams. Using her expertise to strategically automate and eliminate tasks, Seymour frees EASE teams to focus on higher-level duties, adding value for customers by enhancing the EASE highly responsive and personalized customer service model.

 

Seymour earned her B.S. in Logistics from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business, and her MBA in Business Analytics from the University of Dayton. She enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family, including her husband, their two children, and their two dogs.

STEPHEN SPIRES

DIRECTOR OF SALES

Stephen comes to EASE with more than a decade of logistics sales experience. Stephen manages the sales department and is tasked with developing sales structures and processes that enable the sales team to be more successful and, ultimately, speed up EASE’s growth. Stephen graduated from The Ohio State University with a major in Business Administration and Operations Management. Stephen enjoys golfing and other outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

As the Director of Human Resources, Jess Stewart oversees and manages EASE’s Human Resources, recruiting, and retention functions, and plays a crucial role in aligning the organization’s policies and practices with its strategic goals.  Stewart is passionate about supporting an equitable work environment, and works to foster a more accountable, feedback-rich culture which aides the business in running more efficiently and effectively.  She is a winner of the 2023 Columbus Business First HR Impact Award.

 

Stewart holds her MBA from the Boler College of Business at John Carroll University and a B.A. in both Mathematics and Business Administration, with a concentration in Management, from Wilmington College.
