“I’ll be home for Christmas…”
“There’s no place like home for the holidays…”
Spending time with families, friends, and those who matter most is an essential part of the holiday season. Unfortunately, many military men and women can’t be with their families. For those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, they’ll never spend the holidays with their families again.
That’s why Wreaths Across America leads the way in honoring fallen soldiers during the Holiday season.
“Each live, balsam veteran’s wreath was a gift of respect and appreciation, sponsored by an individual or organization and placed on a headstone by volunteers as a small gesture of gratitude for the freedoms Americans enjoy,” Wreaths Across America stated in a release. “For centuries, fresh evergreens have been used as a symbol of honor and have served as a living tribute renewed annually. Wreaths Across America believes the tradition represents a living memorial that honors veterans, active-duty military, and their families. When each wreath is placed the servicemember’s name is said out loud, ensuring their memory lives on.”
EASE Lays Wreaths in National Ceremony
Every year, on December 17, National Wreaths Across America Day, more than 2.7 million veterans’ wreaths are placed on headstones by more than two million volunteers, a third of whom were children, at 3,702 participating locations across the country.
EASE Logistics was among the participating companies laying wreaths locally. Our EASE veterans, leaders, and their kids joined us to place the wreaths and honor the soldiers at Oakdale Cemetery in Marysville to carry on the tradition. Using our experience in logistics and freight broking, our team warhoused the wreaths and ensured their safe delivery when the time came for the ceremony and wreath laying at the cemetery.
Giving back to organizations dedicated to our nation’s military and veterans is vital to EASE. We also support Wounded Warrior, Military Appreciation Months, and other campaigns and like organizations throughout the year as a part of our #GIVEwithEASE efforts.
Our collaborative efforts made a difference.

“Wreaths Across America is more to me than just laying a wreath over the headstone of a veteran who sacrificed their life for our freedom. This is about teaching future generations, sharing and understanding the importance of why these true American heroes gave their lives to that we can remain free, safe, and secure each day to come and go as we please.”
- David Helton, EASE Gov. Ops Director and U.S. Air Force veteran
