[Dublin, Ohio] September 10, 2024 — Fast Company today announced its sixth annual Best Workplaces for Innovatorslist, honoring organizations and businesses that demonstrate an inspiring commitment to encourage and develop innovation at all levels. EASE was named one of the Best Workplaces for Innovators in the United States recognized for its commitment to innovation, joining Adobe, Canva, Roblox, Walmart, and many others.
The 2024 Best Workplaces for Innovators list ranks winners from a variety of industries, including entertainment, biotech, consumer packaged goods, marketing, education, healthcare, and many more. To earn Best Workplaces for Innovators recognition, all of this year’s winners (as well as dozens of additional finalists that appear online) completed an application that addressed questions about projects, investment, companywide programs, and workplace culture. Fast Company editors evaluated every application and conducted additional research to generate a score for each company. A separate judging panel then reviewed the top 125 companies to reach a consensus on the overall winner. Applications for specific categories were judged solely by Fast Company editors.
“We are honored to be among Fast Company’s top workplaces for innovators,” said Peter Coratola Jr., president and CEO of EASE. “At EASE, our goal is to be a catalyst for change in our industry and in our communities. We invest heavily in spaces and projects that encourage and support innovation. By constantly pushing the boundaries, we enhance efficiency, safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction—key pillars in an evolving supply chain landscape. Innovation isn’t just a goal; it’s a necessity. As we move forward, we promise to keep pioneering new solutions to meet the ever-changing demands of our industry.”
EASE was recognized for its investment in a variety of internal and external innovation initiatives, including:
- The Employee Strategy and Innovation Team (ESIT) gives employees hands-on involvement in the company’s evolution. Together, employees find ways to apply industry tools, technologies, and automation to improve EASE’s operational processes and ability to consistently provide faster response times, scalable solutions, improved business processes, and offer overall outstanding service to customers.
- Serving as the host fleet partner for two automated trucking projects in partnership with the State of Ohio. Both projects have national implications. The goals of the projects are to audit freeways for automation readiness, share results to help develop national policies, and create a guidebook to help states prepare their roads. The project’s audit and automation deployment results will be shared with the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) to develop policies and procedures to scale truck automation across the United States and design standards for autonomous vehicle – ready freeways.
- A variety of other aspects regarding workplace culture, innovation in daily operations, philanthropic investments, and a foundational service model that stands out within the logistics industry.
“Innovation is a global priority that cuts across all industries, and this year’s list reflects that diversity,” says Brendan Vaughan, editor in chief of Fast Company. “The top ten features four companies headquartered outside of the U.S. and includes representatives from technology, advertising, finance, biotech, pharmaceuticals, ecommerce, and the nonprofit sectors.”
