On October 15, 2023, more than 2,000 neighbors, family members, children, friends, and community partners enjoyed EASE’s third annual Touch-a-Truck. The free event was packed full of inflatables, entertainment, food trucks, and large vehicles to explore – all in support of the Dublin Food Pantry!
The Main Event: The Logistics Of Touch-A-Truck
Enthusiastic attendees enjoyed a wide range of opportunities to touch-a-truck, including: police vehicles, scissor lift, backhoe, skid steer, excavator, trash truck, drill rig, military vehicles, media vehicles, and of course – EASE trucks and trailers! EASE’s automated and connected semis even made an appearance, taking a break from their history-making deployment of automated technology for customer freight shipments.
Eats and Other Treats
Other family-friendly activities present at Touch-A-Truck were inflatables (from a dump truck slide to a bulldozer bounce house!) and entertainment galore, including the Columbus Crew’s “Crew Cat”, a Blippi impersonator, face painting, a balloon artist, the Buckeye Mobile Game Truck, COSI Educational Van, a petting zoo, EASE’s very own house DJ, and so much more.
Attendees received free hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy. Also present were food trucks with items for purchase: McGinnis Food Truck, Tortilla Street Food, Donna’s Delicious Dozen, Holy Crepes, and Kona Ice.
Donations Benefiting Dublin Food Pantry #GIVEwithEASE
Attendees arrived with donations amounting to 2,080 lbs. of food to support the Dublin Food Pantry, one of EASE’s regular giveback partners. Additionally, EASE employees contributed nearly 50 volunteer hours to facilitate the day of the event. There might not have been any FTL transportation involved, but with our logistics skills those donations arrived to the pantry seamlessly!
Thank You To Our Community Partners
An event of this magnitude wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our fantastic community partners. Thank you all!
