Larry’s Career Advancement at Ease

Larry Basford is our Director of Manufacturing Operations. He’s a perfect example of the ample opportunities for professional growth and advancement at EASE.

Larry attended college at the University of Toledo, graduating with a degree in Business Administration & Management. He then proudly served our country for eight years as a member of the Army National Guard. Larry began his civil career in the information systems and technology field, where he developed a passion for data and problem-solving.

An early team member at EASE, Larry has quickly gained hands-on logistics expertise, working closely with Peter Coratola to establish and grow the framework for what EASE can accomplish today.

Current Open Roles:

Account Manager

Work with Senior Account Managers and Vertical Directors to manage an increased portfolio of accounts by helping EASE Logistics’ customers move their inventory in the most cost-effective way.

The Account Manager is a mid-level account management position that is responsible for the full livelihood of each account by maintaining and growing customer relationships, monitoring the day to day operations and performing key indicator reports on stability.

Client Services

Work directly with Account Managers and Operations personnel to ensure that freight is routed and scheduled. You are expected to help grow accounts by coordinating with Account Managers and their customers and monitoring the overall status of their shipments. You will be responsible for building shipments in our system and making sure the Operations team has what they need to sell the shipments to our carrier network. You will update customers, suppliers, and consignees on the status of our trucks and their ETAs to their facilities and will send shipment status updates upon request. You will also assist with customer freight bids as well as improve the database of shippers and receivers, communicating with them to request and confirm appointments.

Logistics Coordinator

Your role in Operations is critical in servicing our customers effectively. Knowing where our customer’s freight is at all times allows us to keep them informed and updated at any point during transit.

The Logistics Coordinator works as the first line of defense by ensuring carriers have all pickup information and arrive to the shipper or receiver in a timely manner. By guaranteeing precision and punctuality, Account Managers will then have the ability to send accurate updates to their customers providing them with the highest level of customer service.
