Larry’s Career Advancement at Ease

Larry Basford is our Vice President of Operations. He’s a perfect example of the ample opportunities for professional growth and advancement at Ease.

Larry attended college at the University of Toledo, graduating with a degree in Business Administration & Management. He then proudly served our country for eight years as a member of the Army National Guard. After serving in the armed forces, Larry began his “civilian” career in the Information Systems & Technology field, where he developed a passion for data and problem solving.

An early member of Ease Logistics, Larry has quickly gained hands-on logistics expertise, working closely with Peter Coratola to establish and grow the framework for what Ease is able to accomplish today.

National Account Manager

  1. Manage client portfolio and be single point of contact for all requests
  2. Delegate tasks to each department to ensure highest level of customer service
  3. Monitor client growth and establish annual goals
  4. Send monthly audit reports to client
  5. Establish a 99% on time delivery status with client
  6. Facilitate bids to carrier network and return to client

Client Services

  1. Update National Account Manager and individual client’s shipment statuses
  2. Schedule shipments and confirm with National Account Manager
  3. Monitor shipment status and ensure all proper information is in shipment details
  4. Build relations with shipper/receivers for individual client to increase scheduling efficiency
  5. Record and enter all accessorial charges and report to National Account Manager

Logistics Coordinator

  1. Plan and book carriers on client shipments utilizing Ease Logistics' carrier network
  2. Increase our carrier network and complete capacity requests
  3. Ensure all proper information is coordinated with Client Services when carrier is assigned to a load
  4. Track and trace shipments and report to National Account Manager
  5. Build carrier relations and grow the Ease Logistics' transportation network
