EASE Logistics Establishes a Center for Innovation in Marysville

Innovative warehouse is the first operational business within the Marysville 33 Innovation Park and will use technology-based disruption for the logistics industry.

[Marysville, Ohio, April 20] EASE Logistics, a multi-operational supply chain and transportation solution provider, has established a new dedicated high-tech warehouse space at 1100 Innovation Way in the Marysville Innovation Park.

EASE plans to transform the warehouse into a state-of-the art facility that utilizes technology and the latest best practices to maximize efficiency and productivity while reducing errors. The warehouse at Innovation Way will provide more value to customers by approaching all forms of logistics technology as an opportunity to improve and innovate services, including:

  • Supporting customers with dedicated customer service and improved technologies that complement EASE’s vision to “set the standard” for customer experience.
  • Incorporating Association for Supply Chain Management certifications for team members so they become logistics operations experts.
  • A forward-thinking approach for current and potential customer needs – exploring technology innovations that may seem unconventional now, but will help elevate EASE’s offerings going forward.
  • End-to-end supply chain visibility from production to the end customer’s delivery.

“As EASE continues to evolve and innovate, we strive to offer new services, operate more efficiently, and ultimately, better serve our customers,” said Mike Rill, Strategic Customer Solutions Manager at EASE’s 1100 Innovation Way warehouse.

The warehouse will contain expanded solution offerings and capabilities including general warehousing, distribution, and 24/7 cross-docking. EASE will deploy an improved warehouse management system that allows EASE to:

  • Track and monitor inventory and order flow from production and purchase order to items picked, packed, and shipped, bringing visibility across the supply chain.
  • Enable KPI tracking which collects, stores, manages, and interprets data from product planning, cost and development, manufacturing, inventory, management, shipping, and payment.

Innovation is a priority for EASE and it is looking for new ways to deliver excellence across the supply chain. EASE collaborates with like-minded organizations and companies sharing its vision and commitment to industry transformation. EASE has partnered with an Ohio-based large, multinational tire manufacturing company to develop, test, monitor, and analyze tire intelligence. The company is also testing cloud-based logistics technology in the Beta District, the Central Ohio innovation corridor, in partnership with the City of Dublin and DriveOhio.

EASE has a goal of becoming the logistics leader in industry disruption and helping to make Ohio the best state for logistics.

“The Marysville 33 Innovation Park was a great place for EASE to invest because the warehouse is strategically positioned within the Beta District, along with other advanced technology assets such as the 33 Smart Mobility Corridor, the Transportation Research Center and the Automotive & Mobility Innovation Center, which shares a building with the EASE warehouse,” said Peter Coratola Jr., president and CEO of EASE. “Proximity to these assets makes it easier for collaboration, enabling EASE to pursue opportunities to be at the forefront of transportation innovation.”

The City of Marysville acquired the 206-acre property and invested over $7 million to develop the 33 Innovation Park. The goal of the park is to capitalize on the rapid growth of the US 33 Smart Mobility Corridor and to attract business expansions from target industries, including manufacturing, technology, research and development, agriculture technology, aerospace, and smart mobility. EASE’s emphasis on innovation made it an ideal tenant for the campus.

“We are excited to welcome EASE to our community,” says City Manager Terry Emery. “Our vision for this property is to house the most innovative and groundbreaking technologies of the future. EASE is the inaugural business to open in the Southgate Building located in the 33 Innovation Park. We look forward to their partnership and continued involvement in the community and the 33 Smart Mobility Corridor.”

The facility is EASE’s third location and gives the company access to more than 60k square ft. of warehouse space.
